Many organizations are critical to achieving OpenMRS’ vision by customizing and deploying OpenMRS locally. A smaller number of organizations, however, are choosing to make significant, upstream code contributions to recognized, shared OpenMRS repos that everyone can use.
Customizing code to support OpenMRS distributions & implementations
Code contributions to both upstream and local OpenMRS implementations
Frequent upstream code contributions to OpenMRS shared repositories
People may think the only way to contribute to the community is by writing code. And behind everyone who contributes code are people who are documenting guidelines and resources, giving others a platform to demo and showcase their work, and making it easier for others to engage with our community and grow professionally. Here are a few of the people who made contributions to our documentation, product management, implementation guidelines and resources, and spread the word about what is happening in our community.
