Talk:Nightly Builds

If anyone actually sees this comment... I don't think this page should be here.

1. Do we need to offer every nightly build? Maybe a week or month worth, but not every one...
2. This page is going to become very long if we list every single nightly build.
3. 25 MB new data on the server every day? This is going to get really big really quick.

Do all the builds still stay available? I see in the source that only 20 are listed here (well, 18 at the moment, I guess we only started recently), but are the other ones going to still be available? That was my main question and point I suppose. --ruddzw 15:54, 21 July 2007 (EDT)

They won't be available online. They are all stored on the server, so if someone desperately needs a certain past nightly build I can provide it for them. My thinking was that there should be enough nightly builds on the server that could go back far enough if a bad piece of code was committed to alpha. However, I didn't want to overwhelm users and waste bandwidth, as you mentioned, by putting all of them online. -Ben 22:31, 21 July 2007 (EDT)
