Head over to the Summer of Code 2011 page on the OpenMRS Community Wiki to learn more about these students and the exciting projects they’ll be developing over the summer. OpenMRS is participating in its 5th year as a mentoring organization for Google Summer of Code in 2011. We’ve enjoyed participating in this great program in the last 4 years and are even more excited about the projects and mentors we have available this year. Coding for OpenMRS is a great way to practice your coding skills and, at the same time, help benefit people in developing countries who are on the front lines of the battle against HIV/AIDS, TB, and Malaria.

Congratulations to these students, and thank you to the many impressive students who applied to participate with us this year! We are always amazed at the talented individuals who are eager to write code and save lives by volunteering with OpenMRS, and hope you will consider being one of them, whether you are a developer or just a person with a passion for doing good.

Congrats to all of the GSoC students accepted, and I hope that the ones who weren’t accepted keep the desire to help OpenMRS community.

    See ya! (:
